Hangzhou Customs supervised more than 84,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of export containers carried by the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train service in the first half of this year, a record high for the period and up 10.6 percent year-on-year.
The service has maintained double-digit growth in export container volume for six consecutive months this year, showing strong momentum.
The Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe service now operates 27 regular routes, reaching more than 160 cities in over 50 countries and regions across Eurasia.
To support the service's development, Hangzhou Customs has put a new-generation customs clearance platform into use at the Yiwu railway port. The platform compares customs declarations, transit declarations, and logistics data in real time and supports closed-loop management, enabling 24-hour automated customs transit.
