Zhejiang has 4.56 million Party members
Zhejiang had 4.56 million members of the Communist Party of China by the end of 2025, a net increase of 64,000 from the previous year.
The province's Party membership grew 1.4 percent year-on-year. A total of 84,000 new members were admitted during the year, including 39,000 from frontline production and work posts, accounting for 46.4 percent of the total.
Among the new members, 46,000 had a college degree or above, accounting for 54.8 percent, while 70,000 were aged 35 or below, making up 83.3 percent.
The structure of the Party membership continued to improve. By the end of 2025, Zhejiang had 2.77 million Party members with a college degree or above, accounting for 60.7 percent of the total, up 1.2 percentage points from the previous year.
The province had 1.61 million female Party members, accounting for 35.4 percent, up 0.5 percentage points year-on-year. It also had 38,000 Party members from ethnic minority groups, accounting for 0.8 percent.
Workers and farmers remained the largest group in the province's Party membership, accounting for 34.5 percent of the total.
