Quzhou Port in Quzhou, Zhejiang province has handled 5.57 million metric tons of cargo from January to June this year, up 18.2 percent year-on-year, the fastest growth rate among ports in the province.

Container throughput reached 21,600 twenty-foot equivalent units during the first half of the year, increasing 153.4 percent year-on-year.

Located in the upper reaches of the Qiantang River, the inland port has seen rise in cargo throughput every year since opening in 2019.

The port has expanded its global connectivity through new shipping routes and upgraded logistics services. In 2024, a cargo ship carrying calcium chloride products from Quzhou's Qujiang port area reached Montreal, Canada via Jiaxing's Zhapu Port and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, marking the first direct overseas shipment of Quzhou foreign trade containers from a local port.

The port has also developed integrated services combining transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing. Its public bonded warehouse, which passed customs inspection in 2023, has provided storage services for imported pulp and other materials, helping local companies reduce logistics costs.

In 2025, the launch of the "Quzhou-Zhapu Port-Ningbo-Zhoushan Port" Connected Carrier Agreement (CCA) route and the operation of the Qujiang port area's customs supervision site, which is connected to the Zhejiang E-port online system, further streamlined customs and shipping procedures.

Currently, Quzhou Port operates 34 waterway routes, connecting local products including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, photovoltaic modules, specialty paper, and new energy materials with global markets.
