The 2026 National Logistics Hub Development Promotion Conference was held in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, on July 16, highlighting the city's growing role as a regional logistics hub.

As a key transport junction connecting Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, and Anhui provinces, Quzhou sits at the intersection of the Yangtze River Delta region, the Pan-Pearl River Delta region, and the Western Taiwan Strait Economic Zone. The city was selected to host the national logistics event as it seeks to build a regional logistics node serving the four-province border area.

The conference brought together representatives from government departments, national logistics hub cities, logistics enterprises, and research institutions to discuss upgrading logistics hubs and building a modern logistics network.

Quzhou has been designated as a national logistics hub supporting city for a land port-type logistics hub. It is also the only city in Zhejiang with an integrated transport system covering highways, railways, waterways, and aviation.

In the first half of 2026, Quzhou Port handled 5.57 million metric tons of cargo, up 18.2 percent year-on-year, while container throughput reached 21,600 twenty-foot equivalent units, increasing 153.4 percent year-on-year.

The city is also promoting smart and green logistics. Projects such as the Quzhou Smart Cold Chain Logistics Base and the Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone are expected to strengthen links between ports, industries, and markets, supporting more efficient logistics operations.
