Zhejiang's gross domestic product reached 4.79 trillion yuan (about $707 billion) in the first half of the year, up 5.7 percent year-on-year.

The value added of the primary industry rose 4.4 percent to 112.9 billion yuan, while that of the secondary industry increased 6.2 percent to 1.81 trillion yuan. The tertiary industry's value added grew 5.5 percent to 2.87 trillion yuan.

Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 1.95 trillion yuan, up 3 percent year-on-year. Retail sales of goods rose 2.8 percent to 1.76 trillion yuan, while catering revenue increased 4.8 percent to 193 billion yuan.

The province's surveyed urban unemployment rate averaged 4.7 percent during the period.

Per capita disposable income stood at 39,807 yuan, up 5.3 percent in nominal terms and 4.2 percent in real terms. The figure for urban residents rose 4.7 percent nominally and 3.5 percent in real terms to 45,324 yuan, while that for rural residents increased 6 percent nominally and 5.4 percent in real terms to 27,555 yuan.

The ratio of urban to rural per capita disposable income was 1.64, narrowing by 0.03 from a year earlier.
