Jack Technology, based in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, completed the full acquisition of Italian leather-cutting specialist Comelz SpA on July 23 through its wholly owned subsidiary Bullmer Mechanical and Electrical Technology, adding the long-established manufacturer to its global portfolio.
Founded in 1943, Comelz develops cutting and processing equipment for leather products used in footwear, handbags, and automotive interiors. The company is known for its AI-powered leather inspection technology and high-efficiency material optimization systems, and has supplied manufacturing solutions to leading European luxury brands including Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci. Its subsidiary Camoga, established in 1948, is a global leader in leather splitting machines.
The acquisition will help expand Comelz's advanced technologies into China and other Asian markets, enabling manufacturers to improve product quality while reducing production costs. At the same time, Jack's expertise in integrated hardware and software, AI, and robotics is expected to strengthen Comelz's product portfolio and create additional value for its global customer base.
By combining Comelz's cutting technologies, Bullmer's flexible material cutting capabilities, and Jack's AI-driven digital manufacturing and global service network, Jack aims to build an integrated intelligent manufacturing ecosystem for flexible materials and accelerate the industry's digital, automated, and intelligent transformation.
