Foreign businesspeople arriving at Yiwu Airport in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, can now complete entry procedures in just 15 minutes thanks to a new system combining the 240-hour visa-free transit policy with Jinhua's port visa services.

Previously, international visitors needed to secure visas from Chinese embassies, complicating spontaneous business trips. Now, with the port visa services at Yiwu Airport launched in July, they can enter Yiwu directly and travel throughout Jinhua and Zhejiang with ease.

Digitalized customs processes, including facial recognition and information sharing, further streamline entry, with businesses able to pre-submit documents for on-the-spot visa issuance upon arrival.

Since implementation, temporary foreign entries have increased by 16.5 percent year-on-year. Yiwu now hosts weekly exhibitions, doubling international procurement events, and Jinhua's latest tourist route links Yiwu International Trade Market with other attractions like Hengdian World Studios and Wuzhou Ancient City, boosting trade and tourism synergy.

Jinhua supports foreign talent with a performance-based classification system, granting over 1,000 foreigners talent status for residency benefits. The city has issued over 4,800 "Join in Cards" — integrated work permit and social security cards — and pioneered a new medical insurance model for foreign workers, enhancing overall service efficiency.
