The Madrid branch of Qingtian Book Cafe has officially opened its Vigo reading point in Spain.

Qingtian Book Cafe is an overseas extension of the Reading Lishui, City of Books initiative. By coordinating with domestic events, it aims to expand the reading network for overseas Chinese communities and strengthen Qingtian's role as an international cultural bridge for its diaspora.

The Vigo point marks a significant new addition to the book cafe's presence in northern Spain. The space will be accessible to overseas Chinese, Chinese-descended youth, and local residents interested in Chinese culture, providing a dedicated reading area for the community in the region.

After the opening, attendees browsed books and exchanged thoughts on reading. Moving forward, the Vigo point will regularly host activities such as book‑sharing sessions, parent‑child reading, and cultural salons.

Using books as a bond, it seeks to unite overseas Chinese sentiments, facilitate China‑Spain folk cultural exchanges, and help Chinese culture take root in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
