Lishui's first inspection robot dog, developed by Zhejiang Yiqing Technology, is now entering service in Liandu district.

At the Lishui Oil Pump Factory, the robot dog patrols automatically along a set route. When it finds illegally parked bikes or litter, it stops, takes photos, and marks the violation spot. A task that once took workers three to four hours in high heat now takes less than one hour.

Fan Junyi, general manager of Yiqing Technology, said the project began with his interest in quadruped robots. After seeing inspection workers bent over in cable trenches in high temperatures, his team spent half a year turning an ordinary robot dog into professional industrial inspection equipment.

The robot dog can replace three to five inspectors. In highway power distribution rooms, it finishes in one hour what two workers once did in three to four hours. The efficiency of agricultural patrols has risen by about 30 percent, the data collection rate has doubled and labor costs have fallen by over 50 percent.

The robot dog carries infrared thermal imaging, 3D lidar and modular components for gas detection, firefighting and robotic arms. It supports digital, traceable, round-the-clock inspection.

Moving forward, the company plans to expand the robot dog's applications to railway detection, underground pipelines and smart agriculture.
