The mooncake market in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, is heating up ahead of Mid-Autumn Festival, with cultural and creative mooncakes featuring local landmarks such as Dachen Island and Shenxianju gaining popularity. The "Moonlit Taizhou" series includes Taoshan-style and Cantonese-style mooncakes, offering Taizhou natives a taste of home. The developers also plan to introduce more designs next year.

Local food companies started production early this year, extending their production and sales cycle, and have shipped orders to destinations across China. The developers are also introducing new flavors, including low-sugar rice mooncakes, wellness-inspired varieties, and crispy mooncakes favored by young consumers.

Classic Suzhou-style and Cantonese-style mooncakes continue to maintain a steady customer base, with traditional flavors and new creative offerings together driving Mid-Autumn consumption.
