A motorcycle made in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, will become the official race bike for the FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship from 2027 to 2029, replacing Yamaha's R7.

The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and WorldSBK announced on Oct 9 that the CFMOTO 675SR-R, produced by Zhejiang CFMOTO Power Co Ltd, had been selected as the championship's exclusive motorcycle.

According to CFMOTO, the agreement marks the first time a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer has become the designated supplier for a one-make series at the FIM World Championship level.

Launched in 2024, WorldWCR is a world championship for female motorcycle racers under the World Superbike Championship system. Unlike other racing categories, it uses identical motorcycles for all competitors, placing greater emphasis on rider skill.

The CFMOTO 675SR-R offers approximately 15 horsepower more than the Yamaha R7 previously used in the series.

WorldSBK Executive Director Gregorio Lavilla said the increased power would present new challenges for riders while maintaining equal technical conditions.

CFMOTO will also provide race bike preparation, replacement parts, and on-site technical support throughout the championship.

The partnership could create opportunities for motorcycle parts manufacturers in Hangzhou and across Zhejiang to serve international racing competitions.
