Eight satellites produced at Adaspace Technology's computing satellite base in Taizhou Bay New Area, Zhejiang province, entered their designated orbits on Oct 14 aboard a Zhuque-2E Y4 carrier rocket, marking progress in the city's commercial aerospace industry.

Developed by Adaspace, the satellites form the second group of its Xingsuan (Star Computing) constellation. They will verify key technologies, including liquid-cooled fluid loops at the 10,000-watt level, ultra-large deployable radiative cooling wings, full-domain laser communication networks, and the in-orbit training of foundation models.

The computing satellite base in Taizhou Bay New Area opened in February. It supports satellite design, research and development, system integration, and end-to-end testing, providing a platform for the development and verification of space computing satellites.

As part of its broader plan, Adaspace aims to build a constellation of 2,800 satellites with an inference computing capacity of 100,000 petaflops. It will test the newly launched satellites in orbit and release the results later.
