The fourth China Taizhou International Optics Fair and the China (Taizhou) Eyewear E-commerce Product Selection Fair took place from Oct 18 to 20 at Duqiao Eyewear City in Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou, Zhejiang province. The event attracted buyers from 29 countries and regions.
The fair covered more than 30,000 square meters and brought together over 300 companies from major eyewear production hubs across China. Nearly 400 brand traders, e-commerce sellers, and wholesale buyers attended. Dedicated matchmaking zones, intellectual property protection services, and instant tax refunds for departing travelers helped overseas buyers source products directly from manufacturers.
Duqiao town is home to more than 1,000 eyewear-related businesses, with an industry output of nearly 7 billion yuan ($1.05 billion). Its products are sold in more than 60 countries and regions.
For the first time, the fair featured dedicated zones for smart and sports eyewear, showcasing AI-powered wearable products. Timvision Intelligent Technology (Hangzhou) presented its second-generation AI glasses for guiding the blind and assisting vision. The company also hoped to draw on Taizhou's eyewear supply chain to improve the product's materials and design.
The event also featured product launches, fashion shows, business matchmaking, and industry discussions. Overseas guests visited local factories to learn about the eyewear industry's supply chain, from research and design to production and sales.
