The 2026 Kayou Yiwu Half Marathon will be held on Nov 22 at Meihu Sports Center in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, marking the race's 10th anniversary.
Over the past nine editions, the event has attracted 116,000 runners, growing from 8,000 in the first edition to 15,000 this year. It received World Athletics elite label certification in 2025, becoming the only marathon in Jinhua to earn this honor.
The route links Meihu Sports Center, the Yiwu Museum, and the Yiwu Art Museum; passes through the Yiwu River, the Botanical Garden, and Jiangbin Park; and connects the International Trade Market and Yiwu Port.
Registered runners come from 18 countries and regions, 3,667 from outside Zhejiang, and 72 percent from outside Yiwu.
Yiwu is also expanding its "event plus tourism" model. During last year's race, out-of-town runners stayed an average of 2.3 days and spent over 42 million yuan ($6.3 million).
This year's event will include a food market and partner with eight commercial districts, more than 200 merchants, and 15 hotels to offer discounts. The mascot Xiaoyi and 10th-anniversary merchandise, including dolls and badges, have also been unveiled.
