More than 10,000 purchasing companies and over 40,000 buyers from Zhejiang have registered for the ninth China International Import Expo, which will take place in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

The figures place Zhejiang among the leading provinces by registration numbers, according to the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province.

Zhejiang has been a major participant in the expo since its launch in 2018. This year, the province has formed 13 trading sub-delegations and eight working groups to support its participation.

A business matchmaking event will bring together nearly 30 key Zhejiang buyers and more than 100 exhibitors from over a dozen countries and regions, according to an official from the department's foreign trade administration division.

The exhibitors will come from Canada, Brazil, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovenia, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Malaysia, Japan, and China's Hong Kong and Macao.
