The 2026 Global Zhejiang Entrepreneurs (Lishui) Tennis Invitational concluded on Oct 31 after a day of intense competition.

Participants included members of the provincial tennis association, representatives of global Zhejiang entrepreneurs and overseas Chinese businessmen, members of Zhejiang Daily Press Group's tennis club, and well-known Zhejiang entrepreneur tennis enthusiasts.

The event featured men's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, using group round-robin and knockout stages. The schedule moved from group round-robins to gold, silver and bronze-tier round-robins and same-place finals, with every match closely contested.

Players showed agile footwork and powerful swings, including baseline rallies, net volleys and overhead smashes, drawing cheers from spectators. Many multi-shot rallies made each point fiercely contested.

The tournament brought together Zhejiang entrepreneurs from around the world through tennis, strengthening skills and friendships, and many players shook hands after matches. An Italian participant and general manager of Hangzhou Feiteng Yuxiang Catering said the event improved fitness, helped her meet fellow players, and let her enjoy the sport.

At the professional venue surrounded by green mountains and clear waters, final rankings were decided. Guo Hui, general manager of Zhejiang Panji Information Technology, and Xia Jian'ou, Party secretary of PICC Health Zhejiang Branch, won the gold-group overall championship.
