The China Textile City in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, set up its first designated area for foreign businesspeople on June 17.

The designated area is now home to 60 shops run by businesspeople from nine countries, including Pakistan, Iran, and Yemen. They can enjoy a variety of services, such as those related to visas and residence permits.

The setting up of this new area was based on research which shows that many foreign textile businesspeople intend to set up shops in Shaoxing.

China Textile City is a prime location for foreign businesspeople to set up their shops as the venue is situated near the Hangzhou Ring High Way and the Shaoxingbei Railway Station.

Founded in the 1980s, China Textile City now spans 3.9 million square meters and has more than 28,000 business rooms, 40,000 kinds of products, 30,000 registered operators, and more than 6,000 foreign purchasers.

According to its administrative committee, more operations will be launched to facilitate foreign businesses in the textile city.
