The Hangzhou Asian Games torch relay deployment meeting convened in Shaoxing on Aug 9.

Wang Hao, governor and commander-in-chief of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, delivered a speech at the meeting, saying that the torch relay signifies the comprehensive commencement of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games.

This is a crucial moment for Zhejiang and its 11 municipalities, constituting a complex and extensive endeavor. It requires meticulous organization, precise assurance, and attractive presentation, according to Wang.

Emphasizing cooperation, Wang urged all government departments to collaborate closely, ensuring everything goes according to plan. He urged excellence, leaving no room for mistakes.

In the afternoon, Wang inspected athlete accommodations, the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Center, and the Keqiao Yangshan Sport Climbing Center.

He stressed that Asian Games preparations are in their final sprint, urging heightened urgency and responsibility. Attention to detail, meticulous refining of plans, optimization of facilities, efficient venue management, and rigorous testing and rehearsals were underscored to ensure safety and efficiency.
