The "Fragrant Plum Blossom Sea" Cultural Tourism Festival made its debut in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, on Feb 19.

During the opening ceremony in Dongcun village, local government authorities also announced the openings of the Keqiao District Literary and Artistic Creation Base and a branch of the Keqiao Art Museum.

At the food and cultural creativity market adjacent to the main venue, tourists flocked to admire the village's unique offerings.

Shao Pingping, a resident of Dongcun village and owner of a stinky tofu stall at the market, said, "The series of activities during the tourism festival not only bring a boost in income to the villagers, but also enrich everyone's lives."

Additionally, the village of Dongcun was designated as the Zhejiang Provincial Mountain Outdoor Sports Demonstration Base during the opening ceremony.

In recent years, Dongcun village has leveraged its strengths to cultivate outdoor sports brands and spearhead sports culture with its distinctive flair. The village has rolled out popular sports tourism projects, including mountain hiking, tent camping, marathons, and orienteering competitions.
