The Chinese government work report, released on March 5, emphasized the importance of constructing and utilizing sports facilities in rural areas.

In light of this direction, Liu Jianming, deputy to the 14th National People's Congress and Party chief of Tangdi village in Shaoxing, proposed "Accelerating the construction of sports infrastructure, nurturing sports professionals and management talents, and refining the policy support system."

As a representative from a rural area, Liu is deeply concerned about rural vitalization. Discussing the development of the rural sports industry, he stated that its advancement can play a key role in promoting common prosperity.

In recent years, Tangdi village has hosted events such as cycling tours and national-level chess tournaments, attracting sports enthusiasts from various regions.

"The construction and maintenance costs of specialized sports facilities are relatively high. It is recommended that the government increase investment to enhance the quality of public fitness facilities in rural areas," suggested Liu.

He further proposed strengthening the training of rural sports instructors and coaches to make rural sports activities more professional and efficient.
