Shaoxing shows digital innovation at Global Digital Trade Expo
The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo concluded on Sept 29 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, with investment and trade deals worth 161.98 billion yuan ($22.79 billion). The event attracted 1,812 exhibitors and over 257,000 visits, featuring 382 global debuts in fields such as digital entertainment, healthcare, and smart home technologies, according to the organizers.
A total of 41 companies from Shaoxing participated, presenting their latest achievements in digital technology and trade, reflecting the city's growing strength in the digital economy.
Exhibitors from Shaoxing showcased innovations in digital healthcare, artificial intelligence, and cross-border e-commerce, including 3D dental printing, Internet of Things software platforms, and augmented reality displays that drew wide attention from foreign visitors.
They highlighted applications in digital governance, digital society, and digital industry, focusing on smart administration systems and urban brain solutions.
According to the municipal bureau of commerce, the city's trade in services reached 5.01 billion yuan from January to July, up 24.99 percent year-on-year. Digital trade accounted for 1.87 billion yuan during the period, a 30.6 percent increase, underscoring its growing role in Shaoxing's service economy.
