Zhejiang province recently announced its 2025 list of pilot future factories, naming Zhejiang Gu Yue Long Shan Shaoxing Wine Co Ltd, a leading yellow rice wine producer in Shaoxing, among the selected enterprises.

As a representative of China's traditional brewing industry, the company was chosen as part of a provincial initiative that promotes digital transformation and intelligent manufacturing across the manufacturing sector.

Zhejiang Gu Yue Long Shan Shaoxing Wine Co Ltd is China's largest yellow rice wine manufacturer and exporter, equipped with a provincial-level technology center and a national-level wine appraisal team.

With a total investment of about 2.3 billion yuan ($323 million), the future factory project was launched in September 2020. By deeply integrating digital and intelligent technologies, it aims to reconstruct the entire value chain of yellow rice wine production, driving transformations in quality, efficiency, and innovation.

According to the company's digital transformation office, the future factory will achieve intelligent brewing, digital blending, unmanned logistics, and green production. A data-driven digital system further enhances the purity and clarity of the wine.
