Shaoxing is accelerating its high-quality development by focusing on major projects. In the first 10 months of this year, the city's fixed-asset investment rose 2.8 percent, while project investment grew 16.3 percent, ranking among the top in the province.

Shaoxing plans projects strategically under the Yangtze River Delta integration and urban-cultural development framework. The city has prepared 866 major projects for late 2025 and 2026, totaling 1.2 trillion yuan ($170 billion) in investment, and applied for 622 provincial key projects worth 1.7 trillion yuan.

Shaoxing attracts investment by targeting gaps in industrial chains and promoting innovation. In the first 10 months, it introduced 100 projects over 1 billion yuan and 244 projects over 100 million yuan. The Keqiao airport zone focuses on photonics, chips, new displays, robotics, and AI, driving 47 projects worth 76 billion yuan. Binhai New Area encourages companies to invest in new energy storage, biomedicine, and advanced equipment manufacturing.

Local enterprises are also expanding through capital increases and technological upgrades. From January to October, 544 projects worth over 100 million yuan allocated 51.68 billion yuan in investment, achieving 113.2 percent of the annual target, mainly in areas such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, and new materials.

Shaoxing has implemented a digital management system to track projects throughout their lifecycle. A coordinated promotion mechanism ensures projects start, complete, and reach production efficiently. Shengzhou Moresun received dedicated support to resolve land and pipeline issues. By October, major provincial projects achieved 119.1 percent of planned investment, and 60 new projects had a 100 percent start rate, ranking first in the province.

Projects in Shaoxing are bringing emerging industries to life and renewing traditional sectors, laying a solid foundation for high-quality growth. Urban-cultural integration is strengthening as projects take root and industries expand.
