Yueying Film & TV Base in Shaoxing's Yuecheng district has entered the final stage of interior decoration, with workers racing against the clock to complete construction and welcome the first film and television crews for trial shooting early next month.
Invested in and constructed by Shaoxing Guanghe Culture Media Co, the base draws inspiration from Shaoxing's rich historical and cultural heritage. According to Zhu Yiqing, the company's general manager, the base features over 30 indoor and outdoor shooting sets, including operating rooms, interrogation rooms, and actor apartments, and has already secured contracts for more than 200 short dramas.
The base is equipped with professional makeup and wardrobe rooms, equipment rental facilities, and post-production centers, providing comprehensive "one-stop" film and television services. By integrating online and offline resources, it seeks to cultivate a complete industrial ecosystem that spans scriptwriting and production to distribution and consumption, establishing itself as "a key outdoor shooting location for crews in the Yangtze River Delta region" and effectively serving as a miniature version of Hengdian World Studios.
"In the future, through college collaborations, platform integration, and base operations, we will deepen the integration of film and television with cultural tourism," Zhu said. "We aim to expand into areas such as film-related e-commerce and location scouting, bringing the 'Hengdian model' to Shaoxing and injecting new vitality into Yuecheng's cultural and tourism development."
