With temperatures hovering around 10 C, orchids in Lizhu town, Keqiao district, Shaoxing, have entered their peak blooming season, creating ideal conditions for both viewing and purchasing.

At the Qianmu Orchid Garden in Tang'er village, Lizhu, rows of greenhouses are filled with orchids whose slender, vibrant green leaves form a lush tapestry. Long, graceful scapes rise from the plants, their delicate blossoms scattered across the foliage and gently perfuming the air. 

At Minglanju Garden, over 20 orchid varieties are on full display, each with distinct colors and forms. Garden owner Qian Haijiang noted that the orchids began blooming in mid-February, have now reached their peak, and are expected to remain in bloom through late March.

The Qianmu Orchid Garden currently hosts 27 large-scale orchid vendors, while Shaoxing Flower Market features about 10 orchid shops. These venues offer a wide selection of gift and premium orchids suitable for homes and offices, meeting the public's demand for both viewing and purchasing.

The 2026 Spring Orchid Fair is scheduled to take place in Lizhu from March 13 to 16, promising a spectacular showcase for enthusiasts. Orchid lovers are invited to visit Lizhu — known as the "Hometown of Spring Orchids" — during the fair to experience the captivating beauty of these flowers.
