CBA All-Star Weekend returns to Zhuji, Shaoxing
The 2026 CBA All-Star Weekend concluded on March 8 at the Xishi Basketball Center in Zhuji, a county-level city in Shaoxing, marking the return of this annual Chinese basketball extravaganza to the city after a four-year hiatus.
As part of the first batch of "National Basketball Cities" in China and the only such city in Zhejiang province, Zhuji once served as the home court for two professional teams — Zhejiang Wanma and Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. It remains the only county-level city in CBA history to have simultaneously hosted both a full regular season and the All-Star Weekend, and it also holds multiple records, including the county-level city with the most standard basketball courts.
As an intense competition unfolded inside the arena, the atmosphere outside was equally vibrant. The Gongfu Market around the Xishi Basketball Center bustled with activity, drawing large crowds eager to sample local specialties such as Xishi reunion cakes and Majian steamed buns.
From March 6 to 8, Zhuji recorded over 370,000 tourist visits, generating more than 25 million yuan ($3.64 million) in overall spending across catering, accommodation and other sectors.
