Yuedu community in Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, has officially opened its sports and health center in collaboration with the School of Physical Education of Shaoxing University, and the Shaoxing administration of sport.

This initiative introduces an updated community health service model, featuring customized scientific exercise, with a new health management model, encompassing physical fitness evaluations to health promotion programs.

There are over 1,100 residents aged 60 and above in the community, leading to strong demand for senior-friendly health services. To address this need, the community invested 5 million yuan ($0.72 million) to establish the city's first comprehensive community sports and health center.

Shaoxing University has assembled an expert team, holding fixed clinics twice a month and organizing two health lectures each month. The clinic operates on a model combining initial screening with precise assessment, creating electronic health records for residents and offering personalized exercise guidance.

Yuedu community has established partnerships with over 80 organizations, bringing together diverse professional resources to promote the integration of sports with healthcare and education. The program has already brought university experts into primary schools to help students improve their posture.
