As early summer approaches, the Shili Lotus Pond in Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, is putting on a beautiful display.

While lotus flowers are only just beginning to blossom, creating a delicate and tranquil atmosphere, vibrant two-colored water lilies have already burst into full bloom across the pond. The contrast between the scattered lotus blooms and the flourishing water lilies creates a unique charm.

The flowers' reflections dance across the water's shimmering surface, transforming the pond into a living Chinese ink painting. The peaceful landscape beautifully captures the elegance and gentle charm of the Jiangnan region (the area south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River).
