An Arab water management training delegation visited Shangyu district, Shaoxing, on Aug 17, exploring the district's water infrastructure, efficient water resource management, and water-saving technologies while promoting international cooperation in water governance.

The delegation visited the "One River, Two Banks" water conservancy exhibition hall and the Phase III project along the Cao'e River, learning about the region's efforts in flood control, ecological restoration, and the development of "happy rivers".

At the Shangpu sluice hub, participants explored its operation and dispatching systems, irrigation water supply, and digitalization initiatives, with particular interest in how technology is improving water allocation and agricultural irrigation.

"We face numerous challenges in water resource management, but Shangyu's practices have shown us the direction we need to move in," said a participant from Mauritania. He showed keen interest in the digital facilities at the sluice.

The group also visited Zhejiang Tianxingjian Water Affairs, where discussions focused on water-saving irrigation, water treatment, water equipment manufacturing, and efficient water utilization. A tour of the production facilities offered the participants a closer look at China's water technology and equipment capabilities.
