Zhejiang province's imports and exports with other APEC economies reached 1.77 trillion yuan ($263.27 billion) in the first seven months of this year, up 14.3 percent year-on-year and accounting for 50.7 percent of the province's total foreign trade, according to Hangzhou Customs.

Imports totaled 511.42 billion yuan, up 16.4 percent. More than 100,000 Zhejiang companies traded with other APEC economies during the period, accounting for more than 70 percent of the province's import and export enterprises.

The United States, Indonesia, and Vietnam were Zhejiang's three largest trading partners among other APEC economies, together accounting for 36.7 percent of the total.

Trade with Peru and Singapore grew 40.3 percent and 34 percent, respectively. Trade with Canada rose 28.7 percent, while that with Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand increased 23.8 percent, 21.5 percent, and 20.9 percent, respectively.

Zhejiang's imports from other APEC economies also became more diversified. Imports of mechanical and electrical products reached 107.58 billion yuan, up 24.7 percent, including 33.79 billion yuan of integrated circuits, an increase of 42.1 percent.

Imports of metal ores, agricultural products, and energy products reached 61.21 billion yuan, 46.2 billion yuan, and 42.01 billion yuan, respectively, up 27.1 percent, 6.1 percent, and 28.2 percent.

Private enterprises in Zhejiang recorded 1.43 trillion yuan in trade with other APEC economies during the period, up 16.7 percent and accounting for 80.5 percent of the total.
