Zhejiang's provincial 12345 Government Service Hotline now offers regular English-language service for foreign nationals in the province.

The hotline has four dedicated English-language service positions available from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on working days.

Zhejiang recorded 4.171 million overnight inbound tourist visits in 2025, up 24.6 percent from the previous year.

Since the English-language service was introduced, it has handled more than 200 inquiries. Most have involved exit-entry policies and applications for work permits for foreigners in China, along with requests for help with disputes involving housing rentals and tourism-related consumption.

New operators receive scenario-based training covering the business environment, transportation, housing, healthcare, tourism, and consumer services, as well as practical simulations.

Zhejiang plans to gradually expand multilingual coverage and further improve services for foreign nationals in the province.
