Three athletes from Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, will compete as part of China's 1,274-member delegation for the 20th Asian Games, which includes 815 athletes competing in 38 sports and 369 events.

Sprinter Xie Zhenye, born in Shaoxing's Keqiao district in 1993, is a leading figure in Chinese athletics. He was the first Asian-born male sprinter to break the 20-second barrier in the 200 meters, setting an Asian record of 19.88 seconds. He also won gold in the men's 100 meters at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Wu Qingfeng, born in Shaoxing in 2003, is one of China's top short-distance freestyle swimmers. She competed at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, winning two relay bronze medals in Paris, and has repeatedly broken Asian records.

Xie Yichen, born in Shaoxing's Yuecheng district in 2010, is a rising swimming star, having won five gold medals at the 2022 Zhejiang Provincial Games and seven golds at the 2025 Asian Swimming Championships.

China's delegation has an average age of 24, with 548 athletes making their Asian Games debut. A total of 36 Olympic champions will also compete, including Sun Yingsha, Chen Yuxi, and Li Wenwen.
