The two major exhibitions held as part of the 2026 Global Observance of World Cleanup Day opened in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, on Sept 19.

The Clean City Construction Achievement Exhibition and China Environmental Sanitation Expo are being held at the Shaoxing World Exhibition and Convention Center through Sept 21.

More than 3,000 industry professionals from over 20 countries and 50 international organizations, along with more than 800 domestic institutions and companies, are participating.

The Clean City Construction Achievement Exhibition follows the theme "from the clean plate campaign to clean cities" and features four sections highlighting global practices, China's urban governance, Zhejiang's experience, and Shaoxing's initiatives. Through photos, bilingual displays, videos, and exhibits, it presents clean-city practices from 15 countries across five continents, as well as China's more than four decades of progress in urban environmental governance.

The China Environmental Sanitation Expo, themed "Clean City, Beautiful China," brings together more than 150 leading companies. It showcases new-energy sanitation equipment, smart sanitation platforms, and waste-sorting solutions, alongside product launches, technology demonstrations, and business matchmaking events.
