Enthusiasm, warmth, charm, comfort, and unlimited development potential - these are the impressions that five foreigners have of Wenzhou, a coastal city in East China's Zhejiang province.
In the new short video series Cool Wenzhou! Season Two, five foreigners from Russia, Turkey, the United States, Italy and South Korea, who are now working and living in Wenzhou, shared their feelings about the city.
The first episode features Alexandra Dybrynina, chief representative of a US company in Wenzhou who came to work in the city five years ago.
Dybrynina said going to Wenzhou was a turning point in her life and she has been deeply touched by the hospitality of local residents. Dybrynina is also an anchor at the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center who often shoots videos and presents the city to viewers through her perspective. She has also joined a Toastmasters club where she learns to give lectures in English and Mandarin.
The video series is sponsored by the Wenzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and produced by the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center.
The filming of the series started in August 2021, when the foreigners were invited to take part in the filming, record their stories. The series covers topics including the history of Wenzhou and the city's economic development, folk customs, cultural exchanges, and fight against COVID-19. The videos will be released in different languages.
