During the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Nan Cunhui, a CPPCC National Committee member and chairman of Chint Group based in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, showed his focuses on green energy, low-carbon transitions, and industrial upgrades, aiming to support high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
Nan's focus is on green, digital, and intelligent advancements, with suggestions that include enhancing photovoltaic common-prosperity models, developing zero-carbon parks, and improving market mechanisms for household photovoltaics.
Nan said that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Chint established an industrial innovation framework and became a trusted provider of comprehensive power and energy solutions.
The company will now employ a "dual-wheel drive" strategy of utilizing AI and green, low-carbon initiatives to advance industrialization, technologization, internationalization, digitalization, and platformization. It will also focus on "smart electrical" and "green energy" sectors, developing smart homes, and enhancing supply chain resilience.
Nan emphasized Chint's commitment to prioritizing technology reserves as the company continues to invest in R&D, focusing on key technologies such as solid-state transformers and zero-carbon parks. Chint aims to accelerate industry-AI integration and enhance the conversion of scientific achievements.
The company is also exploring innovation models and establishing multiple innovation parks. It has made significant strides in strategic emerging industries and key technologies, with over 20 research institutes and four global R&D centers, and has attained more than 12,000 patents.
