Ocean lovers are in for treat, as the Changqiao Marine Cultural and Tourism Complex will soon be built in Zhujiajian, Zhoushan, according to local media reports.

The complex will cost two billion yuan ($289.8 million) and is expected to cover a total area of 12 hectares. It will be a tourism resort featuring polar, marine, and rainforest creatures.

It will also be the nation's first resort to feature a dolphin water park and a dolphin-themed resort hotel.

The complex is expected to fuel the growth of local tourism as the city aims to build itself into an international tourist destination.

Hangzhou Changqiao Investment Group has been running ocean parks for over 20 years, including the Hangzhou Changqiao Polar Ocean Park, Zhengzhou Polar Ocean World, and Nanchang Ocean Park.
