Huzhou's pet product exports reach $58m from January to October

In the production workshops of Huzhou Tianyuan Pet Products in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, workers skillfully produce a variety of pet items, including soft pet sofas, stylish beds, and playful cat trees, ready to be shipped worldwide.

Data from Huzhou Customs revealed that from January to October, the city exported over 3,500 batches of pet products such as cat toys and trees, totaling approximately 414 million yuan ($58.28 million) in value.

"Our products, known for their cute designs and fine craftsmanship, are popular internationally," said Cao Xinghua, head of Huzhou Tianyuan. "We're currently producing cat platforms worth over 210,000 yuan for export to Japan. In the first three quarters, our exports to Japan exceeded 14 million yuan, a 20 percent increase year-on-year."

The company has transitioned from OEM production to independent design, launching innovative products like foldable cat trees and smart toys and expanding into new markets.

Similarly, Deqing Beixin Pet Products focuses on wooden pet items. In the first three quarters of this year, the company recorded exports of 330 batches of pet products worth roughly 11 million yuan, according to company representative Ding Feng.

To support the pet products industry, Huzhou Customs has provided one-on-one guidance to help companies understand market regulations, optimized inspection processes, and reduced clearance times.
