The China-Europe freight trains on the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route operated 2,797 trips and transported 227,846 twenty-foot equivalent units, up 16.5 percent and 16.3 percent year-on-year, respectively, as of Nov 18.

Powered by upgraded digital systems and streamlined customs procedures, Yiwu Customs has helped enhance the efficiency of the rail link and deepen Zhejiang's trade ties with countries along the routes.

The service has become a preferred logistics channel thanks to its stability and speed. Its cargo base has expanded well beyond Yiwu, now covering cities such as Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, and Shaoxing, while also drawing shipments from Shanghai, Fujian, Guangdong, and more than 10 other regions.

Zhejiang's China-Europe freight trains run on 26 routes reaching over 50 countries and regions and connecting 160 cities.

The service has delivered 2.1 million types of products worldwide and brought back more than 100,000 varieties from over 100 countries and regions, with the cargo mix expanding from daily commodities to machinery, pharmaceuticals, communications equipment, electronics, and new energy products.
