A group of young participants from the United States recently arrived at Huzhou College in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, for a week-long cultural exchange event titled the US Youth "Beautiful China, Dynamic Huzhou" YES Program.

This event is part of the Ministry of Education's Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) project, guided by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the Zhejiang Education Association for International Exchange, in collaboration with Ohio's Department of Education.

The opening ceremony featured a vibrant showcase of traditional Chinese culture, with performances including instrumental ensembles, Chinese dance, martial arts, and singing. The captivating displays garnered enthusiastic applause, creating an electric atmosphere. The event concluded with group photos of all participants, ensuring the occasion lives on in their memories.

The YES project aims to deepen the US youth's understanding of Chinese history, culture, and modern achievements through cultural experiences, inter-school exchanges, and field visits, fostering enduring friendships between Chinese and US youth.

Huzhou College successfully applied to the YES project in April and has since meticulously prepared for the arrival of the first group of participants from Ohio.

Over the next seven days, these young visitors will immerse themselves in local culture and participate in a variety of exchange activities, further exploring the essence of "Beautiful China, Dynamic Huzhou".
