Huzhou's Anji county shines as popular tourist destination
Anji county in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, has secured the sixth spot on the list of the "2025 National Top 100 Rankings for Comprehensive Competitiveness in County-Level Cultural and Tourism Integration", which was released at the 2025 Meadin Cultural Tourism Festival.
Anji, known as the birthplace of the national green development concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", is the nation's first county to receive the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award and remains committed to green development.
Anji now boasts 33 scenic spots rated as national 3A-level and above tourist attractions and international hotels such as JW Marriott, Club Med, Banyan Tree, and Indigo, alongside over 1,800 boutique homestays.

In recent years, Anji has made significant strides in boosting cultural tourism development. Over 50 campsites have made the county a hotspot for camping in the Yangtze River Delta region. Over 300 coffee shops have opened in the county, with some transformed from abandoned mining sites, making "village cafes" a new hallmark of Anji.
In addition, new cultural tourism projects, such as the Xianxia Town theme park in Skyland Resort and night tours at the Fantasy Jialebi scenic area, offer visitors captivating experiences.
Anji is actively expanding its inbound tourism market. In November, it hosted inbound tourism exchange events in Hangzhou and Shanghai, unveiling incentive policies for attracting inbound tourists and international music festivals.
