Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, saw a surge in down jacket sales at China Garment City on Dec 28, where over 2,300 stores showcased thousands of down jacket types.

The event attracted buyers and customers from across the country, as the winter season boosted demand for warm clothing and brought peak sales to the local market.

In recent years, Pinghu's down jacket industry has grown rapidly, now comprising more than 1,000 key upstream and downstream enterprises and over 13,000 related businesses. The city's annual down jacket output exceeds 300 million units, accounting for approximately 80 percent of the national market share.
