Zhejiang province has completed all 10 major categories and 31 specific public service initiatives set for 2025, with several measures drawing international attention.
Identified at the beginning of the year, the initiatives covered healthcare, elderly care, education, employment, and other public services. All were completed as planned, with some developing into practices that are now being shared beyond China.
One such case was presented on May 20 at a side event of the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva. A representative from Jingning She autonomous county in Lishui introduced Zhejiang's smart mobile clinic program powered by artificial intelligence, offering a practical approach to improving access to healthcare in underserved areas.
Wu Liying, director of the health bureau of Jingning She autonomous county, said the county operates a mobile clinic every week. The clinic is equipped with 23 medical devices across five categories, including automated biochemical analyzers, electrocardiogram monitors, portable ultrasound machines, and pulmonary function testers.
Linked to residents' medical records and medical insurance systems, and supported by cloud-based consultation rooms and AI-assisted diagnostic tools, the mobile clinic enables higher-level hospitals to provide remote consultations, diagnoses, and prescriptions.
