Lin Qiang, a deputy to the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress and the Party secretary of Taizhou's Jiaojiang district, showcased the region's economic progress and future development plans at the annual meetings of Zhejiang province's top legislature and political advisory body, which are being held in Hangzhou from Jan 13 to 17.

Lin highlighted Jiaojiang's achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). These included a significant increase in GDP and the output of enterprises above a designated size surpassing 100 billion yuan ($14 billion).

He also emphasized the district's commitment to the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, particularly in sectors like biomedicine, synthetic biology, and robotics.

Looking ahead, Jiaojiang plans to accelerate the integration of education, technology, and talent development to further drive high-quality growth.
