Lishui launched its Spring Festival cultural and tourism consumption season on Feb 5 in Daji township of Jingning She autonomous county.

Centered on experiencing intangible cultural heritage and traditional flavors, the event brought together representatives from the tourism sector, heritage practitioners, businesses, and visitors.

The launch highlighted three curated selections: the most festive intangible cultural heritage activities, popular photo spots, and local Spring Festival foods.

Various traditional events will be held across Lishui's nine counties and districts through Lantern Festival. Travel benefits, including discounts on tickets, dining, and lodging, have also been announced.

A Spring Festival fair will take place from Feb 7 to 9, featuring regional specialties available for on-site tasting or online delivery.

The ceremony was followed by a lively pig-chasing competition inspired by local She ethnic traditions. Participants used tools like bamboo baskets and pot lids to guide piglets through an amusing obstacle course.

The cheerful event attracted locals and tourists alike, including an international student who expressed delight at the vivid cultural experience. Organizers hope such activities will rejuvenate traditional customs and boost holiday engagement.
