The studio of Christopher Raxxy in Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, was bustling with activity on Feb 5 as founder Shen Weilian prepared to attend the pre-ordering session of the 2026 Milan Fashion Week in Italy.

Raxxy, a luxury down jacket brand founded in Pinghu, has earned global recognition, having showcased its designs at Milan Fashion Week and appeared in more than 20 international fashion magazines. Its down jackets feature high-quality goose down and premium accessories, with some zippers costing over 200 yuan (about $29) each. The jackets are handcrafted using intricate techniques, limiting production to just three pieces per craftsman each month.

Innovation is a key driver of Raxxy's success. The studio creates jackets with 3D designs inspired by traditional Chinese motifs, such as the Great Wall and qilin (Chinese unicorn) patterns. These designs are given a modern, three-dimensional twist, incorporating techniques from traditional Chinese crafts such as bamboo weaving and paper-cutting.

While rooted in China, Raxxy is expanding globally. Its 2025 autumn and winter collection is now available in 19 countries, with over 50 clients, including top-tier boutiques. The brand is also launching several pop-up shops in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, Japan, Austria, and Poland, and is preparing to open stores in luxury malls overseas.
