International cultural envoys explore Shabu kiln in Taizhou
The opening ceremony of Shabu kiln was held on Feb 11 in Huangyan district, Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, welcoming cultural envoys from countries including Nigeria and Egypt. After the kiln door opened, the freshly fired celadon pieces, with their jade-like glaze, were revealed.
The envoys immersed themselves in the cultural experience, visiting various stations, including a celadon pottery workshop where they tried their hand at shaping clay.

Another highlight of the day was the Kiln Fire Market, where nearly 30 local creative and food stalls offered unique items. The envoys took part in a puzzle challenge, collecting pieces from seven designated stalls in exchange for limited-edition souvenirs, such as refrigerator magnets and handcrafted ceramic figurines, all featuring traditional Shabu celadon elements.
