Over 30 international students from Zhejiang Normal University visited Shanxiabao village in Wuyi county, Jinhua, on March 28, immersing in local culture and customs to discover the unique charm of this quaint village.

The event featured more than 10 distinct stalls that allowed the students to try their hands at traditional rubbing techniques, taste authentic local cuisine, and experience the village's intangible cultural heritage: indigo dyeing.

Organizers also prepared cultural and creative products infused with local elements, alongside a photo book capturing the village's scenic beauty and cultural essence, as special souvenirs.

"I experienced puppet shows, made Xuanping wontons, and tried rubbing, calligraphy, and paper-cutting," said Wang Qian, a student from Nigeria, expressing her hope to return someday.

Cross-cultural encounters such as these bring international friends closer to Shanxiabao's ancient charm, allowing the village to share its cultural warmth with a broader audience.
