2026 International Women's Tennis Huzhou Open set to thrill fans
The 2026 International Women's Tennis Huzhou Open will take place from April 27 to May 3 at the Huzhou International Clay Court Tennis Center in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, China.
The tournament, part of the WTA 125 series organized by the Women's Tennis Association, features women's singles and doubles matches. The 2026 event is being held for the second consecutive year in Huzhou and marks the first WTA tournament in China of the 2026 season.
The event offers $115,000 in prize money, with 125 ranking points for the singles champion. The competition includes a 16-player singles qualifying draw, a 32-player singles main draw, and a 16-team doubles main draw.
Many eyes are on defending champion Veronika Erjavec of Slovenia. Last year, she secured both singles and doubles titles, achieving a 10-match winning streak in China. She returns to defend her title, joined by top-200 players such as Katarzyna Kawa and Despina Papamichail.

Chinese players, including Ma Yexin and Wang Xiyu, who once ranked in the top 50, are also in focus. This tournament serves as crucial preparation for the French Open qualifiers for several Chinese players.
The event features competitors from 13 countries and regions, highlighting its international appeal.
In doubles, notable teams include Zheng Wushuang/Peantarn Plipuech and other strong pairs.
The Huzhou International Clay Court Tennis Center, as the largest red clay tennis facility in Asia, boasts 14 red clay courts and four hard courts.
