The International Enterprises' Zhejiang Tour: Jinhua Experience and Opportunities event took place on April 23. Representatives from 31 companies, business associations, and financial and service institutions from countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and Italy engaged in in-depth discussions with enterprises from Jinhua, Zhejiang province, to explore cooperation opportunities.

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), Jinhua's economy has surpassed three different trillion-yuan milestones, with GDP exceeding 700 billion yuan ($102.51 billion) in 2025, ranking 43rd nationwide.

Last year, Jinhua's foreign trade hit 1.05 trillion yuan for the first time, becoming China's eighth city to achieve a trillion-yuan foreign trade value, and it welcomed 2,088 new foreign-invested enterprises, leading the province for the fifth consecutive year.

"Jinhua boasts over 2.16 million market entities, with 110,000 manufacturing firms rooted here, fostering four major industrial clusters in new energy vehicles, modern hardware, photovoltaics and new energy storage, and textiles," said Deputy Mayor Zhang Xusheng. The city produces 48 percent of Zhejiang's NEVs, making it the province's largest production base.

Deputy Mayor Huang Hui promoted Jinhua's business environment at the event, while representatives of four foreign companies shared their cooperation intentions.

The day before, some representatives had visited key platforms and enterprises in Jinhua, including the East China International Combined Transport Port and Leapmotor, gaining firsthand insight into the city's strengths in logistics hub development and advanced manufacturing.
