Lishui's GDP up 6.7% in Q1

Lishui's GDP reached 56.12 billion yuan ($8.21 billion) in the first quarter of 2026, expanding 6.7 percent year-on-year at constant prices, according to the Lishui municipal bureau of statistics.

The primary, secondary and tertiary sectors added 1.97 billion yuan, 19.23 billion yuan and 34.92 billion yuan, increasing 5.2, 6.9, and 6.7 percent, respectively.

Industrial output accelerated, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size growing 11.3 percent year-on-year — 2.2 percentage points faster than the full-year 2025 pace. Electrical machinery, chemicals and automobile manufacturing surged 39.6, 24.5 and 15.0 percent. Above-scale private industry expanded 11.5 percent, accounting for 88.9 percent of industrial growth.

The service sector rose 6.7 percent year-on-year, driving 61.2 percent of economic growth, with information services and transport up 13.3 and 11.7 percent.

Fixed-asset investment edged up 1.1 percent, while manufacturing investment grew 9.4 percent and infrastructure investment increased 9.2 percent.

Retail sales of consumer goods rose 3.8 percent to 27.16 billion yuan. Trade-in policies boosted home appliance sales by 9.4 percent and building materials by 30.3 percent.

Foreign trade showed resilience. Total imports and exports rose 8.2 percent to 11.54 billion yuan, with exports surging 17.5 percent. Exports countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative grew 29.6 percent.

Household incomes continued to rise. Per capita disposable income grew 5.3 percent year-on-year to 16,490 yuan. Urban income reached 21,347 yuan, up 4.8 percent, while rural income reached 9,237 yuan, up 5.3 percent, outpacing urban growth by 0.5 percentage points.
